Welcome to FireFit.
Welcome everyone to the official FireFit Steering Group website. It is our main objective to provide a forum to identify, develop, communicate and promote best practice pertaining
to fitness related health issues of the UK Fire and Rescue Service.
Hopefully this website will allow us to do just that! We would also love for you to get involved with our work, so please do get in touch if you are interested in what we do.
Finally, why not follow us on Twitter so that you can keep up to date with our updates as soon as they happen?

FireFit Health Challenge 2011/12
A joint initiative between the FSSAA and the FireFit Steering Group - Inspired By london 2012!
The FireFit Healthiest UK FRS Workplace Challenge is now up and running. It is structured around three themes: making fire and rescue staff healthier, making local
communities healthier, and raising money for nominated charites and other good causes. By focusing on the principles of mass participation, inclusivity, team work, partnership, and creativity in the way we encourage
fire service staff to address each of these themes, we're certain the Challenge will inspire people to pick-up the Olympic baton and achieve something remarkable.
Crediton Fire Station from Devon & Somerset FRS were the first team to sign up for the challenge and many other fire service teams have quickly followed suit.
You can enter your team or find out all about the challenge by viewing the Challenge website which contains loads of really useful health & fitness related info, details of challenge events, documents and downloads; FireFit Health Challenge 2011/12
